Reviews
No issues with the foodstore albeit very limited, however, trying to push a trolley full back to the car over cobbled stones is a joke. Move this store out into an estate for better access and improved range

Red Diamond Strawberries MOULDY!
I made a special trip to get some of these after seeing your advert. What a disappointment! Some packs were mouldy and the rest were not even ripe. I've seen better in Home Bargains! I'll be sticking to Sainsbury's Strawberries. Always disappointed with this food hall for one reason or another. Don't bother!
Excellent as always. The Kings Lynn branch is a bit small and not what you might be used to elsewhere
One star based on their strap line "....famous for customer service"
Tried to return some jeans as they didnt fit. Took them in within the 30 days statutory period, one of the string tags had fallen off......the plastic attached ones were still present. Staff member refused to take it in. Took them home, found the tag. Next vist to the Kings Lynn store was two weeks outside the 30 day period. Flat refusal to take them back "nothing I can do, Im sorry"
Thats not customer service in my view, its simply meeting your legal obligations.
My fault, I accept, but you did nothing to help.
Couldn't believe the bacon and sausage cobs were already made up. We asked for no butter and we were told we couldn't as they had already been made up. Just buttered on one side and a little scraping. Rubbish. It tasted like it was drenched in it and the grease just dripped out. Not a fan of streaky bacon either as it is too salty and full of fat. Will not be eating bacon or sausage rolls at M & S again. The shock on their faces when asked for no butter!!! They just didn't understand.
Totally shocked and appalled to find that all the managed tills were shut in the food section and there was a queue for the self service. The person in charge of the self service tills did not appear to have a clue what was going on and when asked, what was going on, she gave no plausible response. Are you short staffed or something? I asked but that seemed to fall on deaf ears.
Now considering that we have travelled 20 miles because this is our nearest M&S I was not happy about putting my own shopping through. I asked why can a till not be opened.... look at the queue. She said I'll put it through for you. The problem here was that she couldn't operate the self service tills herself. After about five minutes of her having 'call for help' flashing up on the screen she called a male colleague over and asked him to open a till and put our shopping through.
I then had to manhandle my shopping, half of which was already bagged onto the managed till.
The man then claimed that this was a new incentive that had been operating for a few weeks. When I challenged him by saying it wasn't like this on Friday when we came in he claimed up. I asked for the manager's name because I was disgusted by the set up and wished to write a complaint, he replied just address it to Dan!
So Dan my complaint will be winging its way over to your head office and I will avoid your store in future!
The staff you talk to about the shop they all say the same thing about how short staff they are. The way the tills are looking all self service that do not help the shop they will all be with out a job they are only thinking of the profits so good luck to all the staff when you have to find a new job
